Homemade is fun!
I made homemade powdered laundry soap today! It was so much fun and comes out to only pennies a load! I now have a wonderful plastic bin in my laundry room with my laundry powder that only takes 2 TBLSP. per load! So I put a a coffee scoop in the bin to use. I am so excited about laundry day tomorrow so I can try it! I also made homemade strawberry jam with some strawberries that were on sale this week at the grocery store! I am very anxious to try it tomorrow on Jenn's homemade bread! I love living frugal! Get on board people, this is fun!

Cloth Napkins!
Tonight Jenn and I (mostly Jenn) made some cloth napkins! They are great and adorable! We intend to make more tomorrow night and will work on them together until we have the amount we think we need for this family. My daughter Victoria (A woman and a mission) and son-in-law came over tonight for dinner, and it was wonderful! We made a very frugal dinner and had plenty to go around! Our dinner was baked beans, Aldis version of SPAM,which my family liked better then the name brand, and some jiffy muffins that I got for .43cents a box at Publix! So everyone had a great warm meal and were very satisfied! For dessert, Jen's apple crisp with ice cream! So as soon as we get all our cloth napkins made I will get Jenn to take a picture so you can see how pretty they are. Tomorrows agenda, besides making more napkins, is to clean out drawers and closets and donate the clothes we don't need to Goodwill. This is all part of the organizing that I love to do! Don't wait for Spring to clean, do it now! That way by Spring you can lay back on the hammock with a good book and some iced tea and relax because you will be all done. Don't procrastinate, do today what you want to put off till tomorrow. Have fun guys and be frugal!

Bad Blogger!
So sorry I have not posted in a few days! As my title says, I'm a bad blogger! We have had a great week so far! Went to my daughters midwife appointment on Monday and that was awesome! Then after that we swung back by the house and picked up my oldest daughter and then went to Aldi, it was really great! I was very impressed, I got some really good items and came out of there only spending $36.00. My daughter posted a pic of all the goodies we got and the breakdown of prices on her blog A Woman's Home. Then my other daughter (the one expecting the baby) went to Publix and had a great savings experience! She had a 140% savings! Now that's amazing! She also took pics and has a breakdown of prices on her blog at A woman and a Mission. You gotta go check these out it is fantastic! My daughter and I are preparing a baby shower for my daughter and want to do it as frugal as we can. The date of the shower is April 3rd, so I will keep you posted on how we do and will get my daughter to post pics as we go along. I hope everyone is having a great week and that you are all doing well with your savings! Keep up the good work and have fun!

Saving on baby items
I am so proud for my daughter and son-in-law! They bought a beautiful black shelf and a new car seat for their son Grayson, (due at the end of April) at Target today and only spent $56.00 for both items! That is awesome and very frugal! They do such a great job living the frugal life. She has a blogspot on here called A woman and a mission, you should go check out her page and see the great savings she does with her groceries. My other daughter has a blogspot on here as well hers is A woman's home, you really need to go check out her page and see the awesome bread she made with her new bread machine! And she gives tips on great kitchen appliances that every kitchen needs! My girls rock! I love them!

First Blog!
Hey everybody!
I'm Deborah and welcome to my site! I hope you enjoy my helpful tips on all sorts of frugal ways! I will also be helping some of you get better organized, and in todays world of hurry, hurry, hurry, we can all use a little organization. So sit back, relax, sip your coffee, and lets get started.
I don't want to bore anyone so I will start small and wait for your questions on where I can help you. My best organizing tip is very simple, don't ever let it get out of hand! In other words pick it up,pack it up,throw it out! Do that everyday and it will never get out of hand.
Now for my best frugal tip, please don't buy into the hype of consumerism! They want you to believe that you have to have all those beautiful things, they want you to believe you just won't be cool unless you have them today! I promise you can live without them and be very cool indeed!
Ok that's all for this blog. See I told you I would keep it small, so as not to bore you. I hope you enjoyed it, I will try and post daily and will look forward to hearing from you all!
